If you thought music competition shows were dead–I don’t know why you would think that. At any rate you were wrong AF. VH1 is set to release the next big one with ‘SIGNED’.
The show has recruited the likes of Rick Ross. Terius ‘The-Dream’ Nash and RocNation head honcho Lenny S. to scout the best new unsigned talent in hip hop. The trio will head to Atlanta to find the most talented new artist and give them the chance to ultimately compete for a deal with either Ross’ Maybach Music Group, TheDream’s Radio Killa Records as well as RocNation .
The show is executive produced by Mark Burnett, President of MGM Television Group and Digital. In addition to working with Nash, Ross and Lenny S, the show’s contestants will also have the opportunity for personal studio sessions with stars like Meek Mill, DJ Khaled and the legendary and still unpaid producer of Lil Wayne’s A Milli ( and Gucci Mane’s Lemonade) Bangladesh.
What separates the show from its contemporaries like American Idol and X-Factor is that the show will actually be filmed in the streets of Atlanta as opposed to on location at an in studio set with a live audience. The show is slated to premiere at 9:00 PM on July 26th only on VH1.
