Chance The Rapper Debuts New Track on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert

The Late Show With Stephen Colbert isn’t usually the place where Hip Hop heads would come for the latest and greatest newness (that would be 😏). But last night the music world as a whole was fixated on Colbert’s stage as Lil Chano from 79th bka Chance The Rapper and debuted a new record that features singer Daniel Ceasar.

The two performed the as -of-yet untitled track accompanied by a diverse array of background singers. Ceasar provide the accoustics as well as the lead vocals on the hook.

But Chance stands out in top form lyrically on the uber introspective and conscious track. He speaks on everything from his relationship with his daughter to how fame and fortune has affected his relationships with the rest of his family and friends. He also touches on the nation’s current sociopolitical climate, which couldn’t have come at a better time.

The soft acoustics combined with Chance’s impeccable and thought provoking bars have all the makings of a record we can get used to hearing and riding to for months to come.
